My art of Balor of The Evil Eye, the king of the Fomorians in Irish mythology. In myth he has a one eye that will kill anyone and anything if he looks upon it, so he has to keep it covered unless he needs it.
The Fomorians, according to some tradition, live under the sea after being displaced by the
Tuatha Dé Danann (people of the Celtic Irish goddess Dannu) so i wanted to portray him as looking rather… well, damp and covered in muck, stones and small shells.
